Post Valentine Blurbs

V-day has never been my favorite time of the year. I don't hate it, I just don't love it. Studying in a university that is just few steps away from Dangwa flower market, damn traffic! Plus the fact that the alternoute route is Quezon Ave. where everyone's heading for dinner, geez! However this year, I was lucky not to be caught up in a heavy traffic despite the fact that I had to travel from Makati to QC, thanks to MRT.

I am not at all bitter, trust me. I'm still a believer in love, although like what others say, "I believe that true love exists, even if it doesn't work for me, at least it does for others". It still makes me smile whenever I see people carrying flowers or anything Valentine related. In fact, I was quite happy that despite my being in a state of single-blessedness, I still got roses from my officemates, sweet =). I just don't get the idea that there are people who actually frown that they are dateless on that day. So what? Well, maybe except for those who actually had constant dates the previous years. But still, it's just another phase of life...learning how to deal with overcoming "what used to be", and learning to appreciate things around you at present.

I haven't had a real Valentine date for years, I haven't received any flowers from special someone from the opposite sex (who i really like) be it Santan or Roses, yet, I couldn't be at all depressed just for that reason. You see, I have great friends who have made life brighter (or should I say, friends who have the same fate as mine? hahaha!). Nevertheless, what I really mean is, just being with other dateless people who can have fun times even without someone who can they old hands with during that red day, is actually great as well. Stop wondering until when you'll be spending such day with friends and family, just enjoy the moment, and simply wish that someday you'll feel the kilig you've been waiting for even if it's no longer Valentine's Day.
